Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as an Internal Communication Intern to play a key part in how information flows, how teams stay connected, and how our culture shows up every day. This role is ideal for a creative, organized, detail-oriented student or early-career professional who loves communication, storytelling, design, and the human side of organizational life.
You’ll support our HR and People Experience team to ensure employees feel informed, engaged, and inspired through clear messaging, friendly visuals, meaningful updates, and consistent internal communication practices.
Responsibilities:
1. Internal Communication & Storytelling
- Support the creation and distribution of internal communications across Slack, email, Confluence, and other channels.
- Draft announcements, updates, reminders, and people-related content in partnership with HR.
- Assist in building internal newsletters, spotlights, and culture storytelling pieces.
- Help maintain communication guidelines and ensure messages are clear, aligned, and inclusive.
2. Design & Content Creation
- Design internal communication materials using Canva.
- Support light design tasks for presentations, handouts, digital posters, event branding, and simple infographics.
- Collaborate with HR and culture teams to bring messages and experiences to life visually.
3. People & Culture Support
- Assist with communication around onboarding experiences, policies, people programs, and well-being initiatives.
- Help prepare communication materials for events, workshops, and engagement activities.
- Work closely with the People team to ensure employees receive timely and helpful information.
4. Organization, Documentation & Processes
- Keep internal communication documentation updated in Confluence.
- Help maintain content templates, archives, and visual libraries.
- Support communication-related data tracking (engagement, views, participation metrics).
- Contribute ideas to improve communication processes, clarity, and accessibility.
Technical skills:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or associate’s degree program in
communication, HR, marketing, design, or a related field.
- Strong written communication skills, clear, friendly, and audience-focused.
- Basic to intermediate design skills (minimum: Canva).
- Familiarity with tools like Confluence, Figma, Photoshop, Notion, or Slack.
Soft skills:
- Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple small tasks simultaneously.
- Curious, creative, empathetic, and attentive to detail.
- Comfortable working in remote environments and collaborating digitally.
