Job Description:

We're seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Expert located in Latam to be a founding member of our cybersecurity practice. This is a unique opportunity to build security services from the ground up while working directly with customers to solve real-world security challenges. You'll be a technical expert and trusted advisor, helping organizations understand and improve their security posture.

Responsibilities:   

Customer Engagement & Advisory: 

• Conduct comprehensive security assessments for customer organizations.
• Develop practical, budget-conscious security recommendations and roadmaps.
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for cybersecurity engagements.
• Translate complex security concepts into business-friendly language for non-technical stakeholders.
• Build long-term customer relationships through consistent value delivery.

Technical Security Services:

• Perform vulnerability assessments on web applications.
• Design and implement security monitoring and alerting systems.
• Develop incident response plans and procedures tailored to customer environments.
• Review and enhance backup and disaster recovery strategies.

Team Development & Operations:

• Mentor junior cybersecurity analysts and help develop their technical skills.
• Establish security service delivery processes and best practices.
• Collaborate with the engineering team on DevSecOps integration and security automation.
• Create documentation, playbooks, and standard operating procedures.

Qualifications

Experience:

• 8+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in consulting, managed services, or enterprise security roles.
• Proven track record of customer-facing work and relationship management.
• Strong experience with vulnerability assessment and penetration testing tools.
• Proficiency with SIEM platforms, security monitoring, and incident response.
• Knowledge of web application security.
• Understanding of network security, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
• Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA preferred).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Strong project management and organizational abilitiesCollaborative mindset with experience mentoring junior team membersCustomer service orientation with a consulting mindset

• Excellent communicator and team collaborator, able to work effectively across different teams and stakeholders.

• Growth-minded and curious, continuously learning new technologies and seeking to improve processes.

Bonus skills: 

• Professional certifications such as CCSP, CISSP, CISM, CISA, GCIH, or similar.
• Background in managed security services or cybersecurity consulting.
• Experience building security programs from scratch.
• Knowledge of security automation and orchestration tools.
• Experience securing hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure deployments.
• Mobile application security testing and assessment capabilities.
• Previous experience in a startup or fast-growing company environment.
