Job Description:

We are looking to add a Data Engineer based in Latam to our team to work on a variety of tasks to build systems that collect, manage, and convert raw data from many available sources into usable information for data scientists and business engineers to interpret. They also develop and test scalable automated architectures that enable data extraction and transformation for predictive or prescriptive modeling. The main goal for a Data Engineer is to remove the barrier between organizations and the insightful dataset, which can be used to evaluate and optimize business strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement data models, data mapping, and visualization techniques to help stakeholders understand and analyze complex data sets.
• Work closely with data scientists, data analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure data quality, accuracy, and completeness.
• Develop and maintain data dictionaries, data lineage, and data governance policies to improve our understanding of the data we work with.
• Collaborate with other internal teams to identify key data needs and automate data processing and analysis wherever possible.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in data engineering and continuously improve our data infrastructure and processes.
• Write and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) scripts and workflows.
• Create data visualizations, reports, and dashboards that provide insights to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering and database management.
• Expertise in SQL, DBT, and Python for data transformation and pipeline development.
• Experience with data warehouse/data lake technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., QuickSight, Tableau).
