Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Data & BI Engineer to design and deliver business intelligence solutions that drive actionable insights for decision-making. This role focuses on creating advanced data visualizations, developing dashboards, and analyzing business performance while collaborating with cross-functional teams to transform business needs into impactful BI outcomes. You will take full ownership of the data assets, from raw data processing to actionable insights, ensuring consistency, quality, and timely delivery.

Responsibilities:   

• Lead analytics projects independently, driving outcomes with minimal supervision and proactively addressing challenges. 
• Design and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to drive data-informed decision-making. 
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define KPIs, and create actionable reporting solutions. 
• Transform raw data into business insights by implementing aggregations, calculations, and business logic. 
• Ensure data quality and reliability through robust validation, monitoring, and troubleshooting processes. 
• Partner with data engineers to support ETL workflows and ensure access to clean, reliable data. 
• Provide training and guidance on BI tools and analytics best practices to stakeholders at all levels. 
• Analyze datasets to uncover trends and actionable insights, supporting key business objectives.

Qualifications

Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Advanced proficiency with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker. 
• Strong SQL skills for querying, analyzing, and transforming data. 
• Extensive experience with data modeling and schema design. 
• Familiar & comfortable with data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery).
• Proven ability to analyze complex datasets and deliver actionable business insights.
• Strong grasp of statistical methods and performance analysis techniques.
• Experience with high-volume event data (e.g., sites, products, etc.)

Soft skills:

• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking capabilities. 
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex findings to non-technical audiences. 
• Skilled in prioritization, expectation setting, and navigating ambiguity.
• Commitment to staying informed about industry trends, technologies, and best practices in data engineering.
• Willingness to be you, show you care, and solve problems.
  

Bonus skills: 

• Experience with Data Pipelines.
• Experience with predictive analytics or machine learning tools is a plus.
• Familiarity with data governance and compliance standards.
• Exposure to scripting languages like Python or R for advanced analytics (optional).
• Web analytics and marketing metrics expertise (CPC, SEO, Conversion Rate).
